Croatia has been witness to a good deal of improvement as a destination for travelers. The country has been subject to a great deal of restoration with respect to facilities as well as infrastructure. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, and is best explored on foot. The city has a huge number of sights such as the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The cathedral is notable for its Renaissance and Medieval artifacts.

The Lotrscak tower has some spectacular views of Zagreb to be enjoyed. The Mirogoj cemetery is home to some spectacular English gardens that are exceedingly well maintained. There are not many medieval ruins here, but you can visit the fine museums here.

Dubrovnik is one destination that is the highlight of an entire Croatia vacation. The seven hundred year old town is pure Middle Ages. There are a number of palaces, churches convents, old streets and more in the city, and all of these are in an excellent state of perseveration. Make sure you visit the Gothic Rector’s Palace, St Blaise’s Church and the Franciscan Monastery.

Split is another destination you should never miss on a Croatia vacation. The Diocletian Palace is a spectacular attraction. The Maritime and Archeological Museum and the town hall dating back to the fifteenth century is another highlight.
